It's almost time for Mother's Day, and though we celebrate amazing moms everywhere, Fix Georgia Pets (FGP) remains steadfast in its mission to prevent Georgia's dogs and cats from repeatedly becoming mamas! Why? Because we rank 5th in the U.S. for euthanizing unwanted pets, including puppies and kittens.
Just in time for Mother's Day, Fix Georgia Pets is offering a unique way to pay tribute to a loved one or pet. A tribute donation is a meaningful way to recognize and acknowledge the people and pets who have had a profound impact on your life while helping to save the lives of companion animals in Georgia. It is truly a gift from your heart. Click herefor more information and to pay tribute this Mother's Day.

Thank you to all who contributed to the success of our 3rd Annual Spring Wine Fling. In addition to doubling our success from the previous year, a good time was had by all. The weather paired perfectly with wine, spritzers, music by Lanre, and The Masters! Kudos to Kimberly Evans Photography for capturing the day with these amazing pictures.
Island Cats Feral Project (IFCP), based in Savannah/Chatham County, used our most recent grant to trap, neuter, vaccinate, and return (TNVR) a total of 60 community cats—at an average cost of just $55 per cat. Way to go, team!
As anyone working in TNVR knows, every cat has a story, and around every corner, there is another in need. On a recent TNVR, an IFCP volunteer took a wrong turn and spotted a yard full of cats. After a few kind conversations, the caretaker agreed to let them TNVR 28 cats—about 18 more than he estimated. Now, the entire area is safer and more stable. There's nothing like a Post-Surgery Release Video that says 'Success!' in preventing more unwanted litters.
But TNVR isn’t always about numbers. Sometimes, it’s just about helping one cat, like Macha. He is a feral cat being fed by Heather and her husband, Joe. They met an IFCP volunteer at Kroger and explained they couldn’t afford vet care. Heather is currently undergoing chemotherapy and the family is getting by on one income. IFCP stepped in, and Macha was safely neutered, giving this family one less thing to worry about.
Whether it’s 28 cats or just one, every life matters. The Fix Georgia Pets grant program makes this work possible, and Islands Feral Cat Project is just one of many hardworking FGP Pawtners across the state.

About Us
We're on a mission to ignite a transformation in Georgia, one spay/neuter at a time. By funneling resources and grants directly to 'boots on the ground" heroes—the dedicated teams tirelessly battling pet overpopulation—we're not just saving lives but fostering a future where every pet in Georgia thrives. Join us in this crusade to end the cycle of euthanasia for healthy companion animals, because together, we can turn the tide and celebrate a new era of pet well-being in our state.
